Mount has been retained to identify and recruit an "A Player" Quality Management leader for our client, a premier provider of cutting-edge test and repair solutions for a diverse range of aerospace avionics. With nearly a decade as a global leader, they ensure their customers have access to the latest avionics technology and capabilities available today, serving military, commercial, and industrial sectors.

As the DIRECTOR OF QUALITY, you will play a pivotal role in upholding our client's reputation by overseeing all aspects of quality assurance. Your strategic vision will drive initiatives to optimize processes and enhance product quality which will contribute to the overall growth and expansion of our client's footprint in the market.

Primary Objectives of the role
  • Oversee the quality, training, and regulatory compliance needs of the organization. 

  • Take charge of guiding the organization in developing, implementing, and overseeing policies, programs, resources, and procedures that align with our internal needs and corporate standards.

  • Drive continuous improvements in process control, supplier quality, meeting customer requirements, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Target Candidate Profile
  1. Educational Background: A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, quality management, or aviation is preferred. Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager) is a plus.

  2. Aviation Expertise: Extensive experience (10+ years) in the aviation industry, with a strong understanding of avionics systems, testing procedures, and repair solutions. 

  3. Quality Leadership: Demonstration of a progressive management career track in quality assurance teams ideally 5+ years. Demonstrated success in implementing and maintaining quality systems, such as AS9100 or ISO 9001, is highly desirable.

  4. Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements and the ability to ensure full compliance with relevant agencies, including the FAA, EASA, and others.

  5. Process Improvement: Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies to drive efficiency, reduce defects, and optimize avionics testing and repair processes.
